In order to speed up mobility during peak hours, ALEATICA announced that starting on September 10, Viaducto Bicentenario will implement an express lane for the first time,
that is, a confined lane that will speed up the transit of users who make long journeys between Satélite and Toreo.
Around 45 thousand motorists transit this area during peak hours every day. Traffic jams occur during the mornings as the long-distance drivers moving from north to south meet up with the vehicles that are merging from the Naucalli, Lomas Verdes and Gustavo Baz onramps. While in the evenings, from south to north, the flow is affected by the motorists who join the highway in Toreo and Río San Joaquín
To improve mobility in this area and take advantage of the infrastructure to the maximum benefit of users, a lane has been defined that will operate from Monday to Friday as follows:
In the morning, from 05:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, the express lane will operate from north to south, delimiting an exclusive lane for long-distance motorists, which will be accessible from Naucalli Park and continue its route without exits or entrances to the Toreo area.
In the afternoon and evenings, from 1:00 p.m. to Midnight, this same lane will go in the opposite direction, that is, from south to north, allowing motorists to access in Toreo and continue their direct route to the Satélite area, thus providing an additional lane in the afternoon hours.
The Express Lane has a length of 4.5 kilometers and is delimited by a barrier of concrete dividers. This initiative is part of a series of solutions that ALEATICA is implementing to improve the experience of users who use urban roads, helping them to reach their production centers and return to their homes in a quicker and quieter way.
