Madrid, Spain, October 9, 2019- Aleatica SAU announces that its Board of Directors has accepted the resignation of Mr. Juan Luis Osuna Gómez as Director General and board member of Aleatica SAU. Similarly, Mr. Osuna presented his resignation as the Chairman of Aleatica, S.A.B.’s Board of Directors, as well as a member of its Corporate Practices Committee. In his place, Aleatica SAU’s Board of Directors has nominated Mr. Ken Daley as its new Director General and intends to nominate him as the Chairman of Aleatica, S.A.B de C.V.’s Board of Directors.
Mr. Ken Daley, who has four decades of experience in the global toll road sector, boasts a notable track record of leadership and operational experience, a profound understanding of IFM’s operating practices, values, and an extensive familiarity with Aleatica SAU’s business in all the regions where it operates. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors at all of the toll road investments in the IFM Global Infrastructure Fund (IFM GIF): Indiana Toll Road (“ITR”), M6Toll, and Aleatica SAU, where he has been a board member since its inauguration and dedicated several months inside the business, assisting with the launch of new initiatives.
Mr. Daley has a vast experience within IFM’s network, performing senior-level executive functions and been involved in the audits of all of IFM’s toll road acquisitions. Recently, Mr. Daley has played a key role in the implementation of IFM’s best practices and corporate values across its operations, safety culture, organizational structure, corporate governance, and in the participation of individuals interested in the ITR. His work has attracted investment of an additional 850 million and the launch of capital intensive investment programs.
Prior to his role at ITR, Mr. Daley served as a senior executive at Transurban in Australia and the United States, working on numerous projects across Europe, the U.S., Southeast Asia, and Latin America. Mr. Daley was awarded with the Max Lay Lifetime Achievement Award for his pioneering initiatives in the inter-operability of toll roads across Australia.
Mr. Osuna has served as the Director General of Aleatica SAU since its acquisition by IFM GIF in 2018, leading the initial stages of the company’s consolidation towards and independent infrastructure asset operator and its transition to a company fully within IFM’s investment portfolio. As Aleatica SAU embarks on a new stage of growth under the leadership of Ken Daley, the direction established by IFM Investors will continue, reaffirming its commitment to best practices and corporate values for safety, client service, and the participation of the community and other stakeholders.
