The A35 Brebemi-Aleatica Highway has been awarded Best Innovative Project at the Brussels STA Conference & Innovation Awards

Brussels, November 29, 2022.

Thanks to research being conducted on dynamic wireless power transfer (DWPT) on the A35 Brebemi Aleatica Highway, today it received the award for best innovative project. The award was handed over during the Smart Transportation Alliance (STA) Conference.

The collaborative, non-profit global platform was created in December of 2014 and is headquartered in Brussels. It is devoted to transportation infrastructure and smart cities.

The A35 Brebemi Aleatica Highway has been awarded Best Innovative Project

The seventh installment of the annual STA Conference in 2022 called on decisionmakers, professionals, and researchers to analyze policies, solutions, and strategies in play, both current and new, in order to adapt transportation infrastructure to the needs and demands of a new mobility.

The debate was primarily focused on issues related to charging electric vehicles, digitization, and infrastructure and user safety.

Dynamic inductive charging is currently the best adaptive technology worldwide to face the challenges posed by transportation decarbonization and electrification.

In this area, Arena of the Future (coordinated by A35 Brebemi Aleatica) received the innovative project award with the most progress in its experimentation phase thanks to it being a focus of cooperation between different international realities, making it a benchmark for each of the sectors involved.

This prestigious award in the transportation sector, awarded to A35 Brebemi and Aleatica, adds to the multiple awards obtained last week by the European Parliament in Strasbourg and during ASECAP Days in Brussels, which promotes early adoption of this vehicle-charging technology not just in Europe, but around the world.

In this regard, Aleatica (global leader in the transportation sector owned by IFM Global Infrastructure Fund) continues to support and promote this project, which reaffirms its position at the cutting edge on researching smart, safe, and sustainable infrastructure.

In fact, thanks to its structure, Aleatica has the capacity to focus exclusively on designing and running highways and other mobility related assets in seven countries in Europe and Latin America.
