Northern Toll Road organized a preventive operation of speed control

As part of a package of measures to strengthen road safety in this area of the North Pan-American Highway, Northern Toll Road organized a preventive speed control operation in the Tortugas traffic circle, located in the province of Casma.

The objective was to make drivers aware of the importance of respecting signage and speed limits for the prevention of traffic accidents. Specifically, in our country 84% of road accidents occur due to human factors.

This activity was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC), Superintendence of Land Transport of People, Cargo and Goods (Sutran), Supervisory Body of Investment in Public Transport Infrastructure (Ositran) and Highway Patrol Police.

As part of the operation, a speed control device was used, and information material was distributed in the four Northern Toll Road toll booths: Fortaleza, Huarmey, Km. 402 and Virú, benefiting more than 20 thousand drivers. Additionally, the concessionaire installed speed reducers (road studs) in the entry and exit areas of the Tortugas traffic circle.

In this way, Autopista del Norte reaffirms its commitment to continue working in the development and implementation of road projects for the benefit of all users of the highway.
